When there are thousands of people who want to visit families or vacation in a state that is warmer all at the same time, some may not get the desired transport time frame they had in mind. For the most part, transports are booked by the end of the 2nd week of December, the third week if you are lucky. The auto transport industry has a carrier that it does not promote as much as their Open or Enclosed services, or if they do, they limit its utility. The expedited services are perfect for these times of filled up transport days because not many people know about them, and they can have your vehicle delivered faster than a normal transport could. The only drawback being that it cost more than a normal transport would. Expedited services were made for times of emergencies, but they can also be used to help fill up spots when normal transports are booked, and around this time they are used more than usual. We do want to state that if a normal transport is available, we do encourage taking it because the Expedited service is one of the more expensive services in the industry.
Using an Alternative Transport
Sometimes it might just be one service that is overbooked, but there are still available spots on another. Let us say that you wanted an Enclosed service, but it turns out that there are not more carriers for your desired transport time, then a simple switch to an Open transport would be the solution, or vice versa. There are several other transport services in the industry, most of which would not cause you to sacrifice much on payment or protection from the elements. In some cases, you might actually save by switching service types.
The auto transport industry has gotten better about having more carriers around throughout the year and especially around the end of the year. The chance of not having the desired transport time frame have gone down significantly, but there is always a chance that it could happen as the auto transport industry gains popularity every year.
