Hybrid and Electric Car Transport

With the rise of hybrid and electric vehicles, it is not uncommon to transport these types of vehicles. The concern is that since these cars are different that they will require different care. This is not the case and are treated the same as other vehicles despite their differences.

It is true that electric and hybrid vehicles weigh a lot less than a gas-powered vehicle. It has fewer metal components and usually opts for lighter weight materials. Some auto transport companies do not want to put electric vehicles on their Open car carriers because it reduces not only space, but it takes up less weight which means the configuration in the way they usually take cars will have to change to accommodate just one vehicle. The thing those auto transport companies do not know is that an electric vehicle is well worth it because it does not off-set the weight by the amount they think. With a good auto transport company that knows that most electric and hybrid cars are still heavy will still that kind of vehicle. The lithium ion batteries make the car heavier.

Here are a couple of the most popular electric and hybrid cars to transport:

Nissan Leaf
Kia Soul EV
Fiat 500e
Ford Focus Electric
Toyota Prius
Toyota Camry Hybrid
BMW i3
BMW i8
